The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aliev clinches.
Aliev tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Ferguson avoids it.
Aliev lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Aliev's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ferguson misses with a takedown attempt - Aliev sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ali Aliev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Aliev drives through with a takedown into Ferguson's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ferguson thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Ferguson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Aliev manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
