The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hogan avoids the head kick by Johnsson.
As Johnsson looks to move away, Hogan throws a big counter combo but Johnsson just gets out of the way.
Some wild striking there from Johnsson.
Johnsson lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Garland Hogan has been cut.
Johnsson misses with a double jab
and Hogan counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Johnsson wriggles free and stands up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hogan gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Hogan tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Johnsson is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Hogan buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Hogan!! Hogan is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Johnsson throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Johnsson!
An out of breath Joe Johnsson thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
