The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lawler drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lawler is fighting to break Ramsay's control of his arms but Ramsay is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Lawler is working Ramsay over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Ramsay working for a triangle but Lawler defends it easily.
Lawler content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Ramsay looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ramsay is trying to control the position but Lawler postures up.
Ramsay is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lawler is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lawler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
