Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sobolev misses with a wild combination.

It looks like Kurtis Burgess has been cut.

Burgess really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sobolev decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Sobolev fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Burgess avoids it really well and circles away.

Sobolev gets underhooks to prevent Burgess's takedown attempt.
Burgess has Sobolev pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sobolev manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Sobolev tries to score a body lock takedown but Burgess shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Sobolev tries a head kick but it misses.
Burgess tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Sobolev manages to circle out of the way.

Burgess drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sobolev pulls his leg out and moves away.

Sobolev is trying to drag Burgess to the mat but Burgess just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Sobolev is breathing heavily.
Burgess jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sobolev walks away with a smile on his face. Burgess gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kurtis Burgess. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sobolev scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Burgess drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sobolev looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sobolev looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sobolev!

Jury Sobolev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Burgess manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sobolev manages to get himself to full guard.

Burgess passes Sobolev's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sobolev has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Burgess is working away from the top position though.
Sobolev is looking to improve his position.

Burgess looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Burgess stops Sobolev from getting back to his feet.

Burgess stands up from half guard.
Sobolev tries to score a power double leg takedown but Burgess sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sobolev somewhat.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Sobolev clinches up with Burgess and pushes him back against the cage.
Jury Sobolev seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Sobolev prevents the takedown attempt.
Burgess gets underhooks to prevent Sobolev's takedown attempt.
Sobolev jumps guard but Burgess stands there with Sobolev around his waist. Sobolev gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Burgess works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Burgess distracts Sobolev with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Kurtis Burgess has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jury Sobolev is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Sobolev is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Burgess scores with a couple of nice shots.

Jury Sobolev comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sobolev has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
