Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rotefan Groov (ranked 7983 p4p, 0 weight class) and Awesome Dick (ranked 25375 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dick moves into the clinch.
Dick is trying to force a seperation but Groov has the dominant position.
Groov pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Groov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dick misses with a head kick.
Groov avoids the head kick by Dick.
Groov takes a swing at Dick's ribcage but misses.

Groov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Dick on his heels. He'll look to pass Dick's guard now, I'm sure.

Dick is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Groov throws a big right hand that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dick had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Groov defends it easily.
Groov wants to pass the guard but Dick is keeping the position.

Dick preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Dick has his hands on Groov's head, controlling the position.

Dick should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Groov stands up and waves to Dick to follow him.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dick shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Dick shoots in and bounces Groov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Groov kicks Dick off and gets to his feet.
Groov is breathing heavily.
Groov scores with a nice head shot.
Dick walks into a straight right hand from Groov.

Groov fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Groov. Dick does a little dance to reset his feet.

Dick shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Groov defends it nicely.
Groov blocks a head kick by Dick.
A low kick from Dick is predictable there
and Dick takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The fight stays on the outside here - Groov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Groov lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

It looks like Awesome Dick has been cut.
Dick is working for takedown but Groov is calmly controlling the position for now.
Rotefan Groov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Awesome Dick.

Dick misses with a knee strike.
Dick keeps control of Groov as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Dick is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Groov is defending well.
Groov looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Horrible takedown attempt by Groov or perhaps it was just good defense by Dick, which made it look bad.

Groov has Dick up against the cage in a clinch.

Groov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dick shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Groov pinned against the cage. Groov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Groov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Groov darts in looking for a takedown but Dick gets double underhooks and turns Groov into the cage.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Dick! But no joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rotefan Groov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dick dives in and grabs Groov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Groov pushes down on Dick's head and hops out.
Groov seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Dick throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Groov.
Dick shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Groov but Groov pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Groov is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Dick throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Groov was covering up waiting for the punch and Dick finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Dick slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Dick is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Groov has escaped the position, nice work there.

Groov throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Groov tries to buck Dick off but Dick is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dick decides to stand back up. Dick steps back and let's Groov get back to his feet.

Groov moves in looking to clinch but Dick pushes him off.
Groov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Dick fails to pull guard.

Dick manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Groov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dick has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Groov has managed to get both his arms back between Dick's legs - danger averted.
Dick wants to sweep but no luck.
Dick utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Groov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Dick controlling the position.
Groov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Dick is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Dick escapes and gets back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dick throws a leg kick but Groov sees it coming and moves out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Groov on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Awesome Dick showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Rotefan Groov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dick walks into a left hand.

Groov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Groov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Dick fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Groov sprawls well initially but Dick persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Groov wants to stand and escape but Dick is having none of it.

Dick not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Dick bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Groov's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Groov is looking to escape.
Dick seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Dick's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Awesome Dick.
I think Dick has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
