Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Antwan Carr (ranked 25317 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daryl Ward (ranked 5860 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Antwan Carr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Daryl Ward!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Ward.
Carr swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Carr really is a fat lump.

Ward clinches up against the cage.
Carr tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ward's elbow.

Ward manages to break the clinch.

Ward clinches up against the cage.
Carr fails to pull guard.
Carr tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ward smiles and moves away.

Ward moves into range and clinches up with Carr.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ward breaks from the clinch.

Ward's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ward misses with a lunging right hand

and Carr counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Carr makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Ward looking to control.
Carr throwing strikes from guard but Ward blocks nicely.
Carr might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Carr throws a big elbow that misses.

Carr is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ward is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Ward pushes Carr away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Carr gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Carr has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Carr is looking to take a break and control but Ward is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Carr tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Carr has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Carr is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ward is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Carr wants to control but Ward is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carr tries to stall but Ward uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Carr rushes Ward and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Ward pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Ward breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Ward tries to keep at a distance but Carr has taken the fight into the clinch.
Ward will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Carr up against the cage.
Carr has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Carr tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ward just stands there and leans against the cage.

Ward lands a shoulder strike.
Carr misses with a body punch.

Ward breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ward moves in looking to clinch but Carr pushes him off.
Crunch! Ward slams his shin into Carr's torso.
Daryl Ward is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ward dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Carr. That did some damage!
Carr stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ward.
Ward tries to clinch up but Carr circles away and keeps his distance.
Ward gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Carr decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ward's guard.

Ward keeping moving, preventing Carr from controlling successfully.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carr accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ward is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Carr controlling from the top position.
Carr trying to control the position from guard on top but Ward is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Carr is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Carr lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Daryl Ward showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Ward tries to clinch

and Carr counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Ward really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ward is looking to control Carr's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ward avoid being mounted?
Carr seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Carr working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Carr is trying to work for a kimura but Ward is defending well.
Ward is refusing to be controlled, as Carr sits in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ward is trying to stand up here but Carr is controlling him well.
Ward tries to roll over but Carr keeps him under control.
Ward keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Ward wants to get back to full guard.
Carr thows a huge punch but Ward dodges it nicely.
Ward is trying to control but can't.
Ward is looking for a sweep. Carr is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Carr is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Carr wants to take a breather but Ward is having none of it.

Ward takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Carr takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Carr winds up and cracks Ward with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ward tries to close the distance and clinch but Carr swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Carr gets tackled into the cage by Ward. Ward maintains the clinch.

Carr keeps control of Ward as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
