Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between tony mars (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Apollo Creed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Apollo Creed!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
mars throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Creed sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Creed moves out of range of the strikes.
mars swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Creed shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has mars pinned against the cage. mars gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
mars misses with a looping right.
Creed misses with a kick to the body.
Creed moves out of range as mars strikes.
Creed moves away from the strike by mars.
mars misses with an uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Apollo Creed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

mars is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Creed is trying desperately to land a takedown but mars is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Creed.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Creed shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in mars's guard.

mars sneaks out the side door and pushes Creed away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

That was a close second round but I would say that tony mars will probably get the nod.
That's time! mars's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Creed closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Creed is looking to take a break and control but mars is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
mars tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
mars is trying to stand back up.

Creed is persistently looking for the submission but mars is defending it well.
mars controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Creed biding his time, controlling mars.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
mars trying to get back to his feet but Creed is in full control for now.

Creed has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

mars is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Creed off. It looks like it's working - Creed slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! mars displaying calm under pressure there.

mars throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
mars keeps the fight on the outside.

mars gets caught flat footed, as Creed shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

mars wants to stand up but Creed is controlling him.
Apollo Creed has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Apollo Creed comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
