The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franz fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Franz lands a head kick. Hammerfall smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It looks like UberThor Hammerfall has been cut.
Franz rushes Hammerfall and presses him up against the cage.
Franz tries for a takedown but Hammerfall manages to get underhooks.
Hammerfall digs a right hand into Franz's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Franz's gas tank.
Franz tries to pull guard but Hammerfall holds him up against the cage and eventually Franz drops back down to his feet.
UberThor Hammerfall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chuck Franz.
Hammerfall can't find room to land a body shot as Franz controls the action.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hammerfall knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Franz on the ground.
Franz seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Franz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hammerfall defends well.
Franz is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hammerfall is aware though and is defending well.

Franz quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Hammerfall has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Franz celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
