Benn has chosen Geto Boys - Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta as his entrance music. Scott Palmer is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer fails to land with a series of punches.
Palmer lands a nice shot to the body.
Benn defending well as Palmer loads up on a big left hand.
Palmer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Palmer misses with a head kick.
Palmer scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like DJ Benn has been cut.
Benn blocks the body kick.
Palmer connects with a body shot.
Benn looks for a takedown but Palmer sprawls well.
Good leg kick by Palmer there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A nice combination there by Palmer.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A head kick misses from Palmer.
Palmer throws a right hand that Benn ducks under and follows up with a left that Benn also avoids with ease.
Palmer tries a head kick but it misses.
Palmer is breathing heavily.
Palmer looks to land a left hand but Benn moved out of range nicely.
Palmer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nice takedown defense from Palmer. No joy for Benn on that attempt.

Benn checks a leg kick nicely.
Benn showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Palmer.
Palmer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Palmer gets caught flat footed, as Benn shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Benn tries to free his leg and advance position but Palmer is retaining full guard.

Benn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Benn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Benn forces his way into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Benn wants to control but Palmer is keeping him busy.

Benn is pressing down on Palmer's thigh, looking to free his foot. Palmer is holding on for now.
Palmer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Palmer tries to get out of the position.
Benn passes to full mount!
Benn throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Benn breaks from Palmer's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Benn wants to finish this one by submission but Palmer is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Benn.

Benn sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Benn lands a big elbow.

Benn quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Benn but it's paid off an Palmer is forced to tap! Nice work by Benn.
