Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Saradas Tunnelly (ranked 7409 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon Gorshkov (ranked 7886 p4p, 0 weight class). Saradas Tunnelly had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Leon Gorshkov!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gorshkov wants to clinch.
Tunnelly is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Gorshkov.
Tunnelly throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Tunnelly rushes Gorshkov and presses him up against the cage.
Gorshkov tries to circle away but Tunnelly has him pinned against the cage.
Gorshkov is trying to break free.

Tunnelly manages to pull guard.

Tunnelly is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Tunnelly looking for a sweep. Not yet Tunnelly, not yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tunnelly looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Tunnelly looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Gorshkov has picked Tunnelly up and slammed him! Tunnelly can't keep hold of the triangle and Gorshkov manages to pass to side control!

Tunnelly is trying to get back to half guard.
Gorshkov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tunnelly keeps working.
Gorshkov works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Tunnelly takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Tunnelly might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Gorshkov wants to control but Tunnelly is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gorshkov connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Tunnelly some visible discomfort.

Tunnelly is looking for a sweep.
Gorshkov wants to control but Tunnelly is keeping him busy.
Gorshkov might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Tunnelly haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Gorshkov is chipping away with strikes.
Gorshkov in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Gorshkov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Tunnelly tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Tunnelly knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gorshkov on the ground.

Gorshkov has control of an arm but Tunnelly manages to advance to Gorshkov's back!
Tunnelly has the hooks in. Gorshkov is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Tunnelly has got his arm under Gorshkov's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Gorshkov has spun round into Tunnelly's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
Gorshkov wants to control from the top but Tunnelly keeps moving.
Tunnelly wants to stand and escape but Gorshkov is having none of it.

Gorshkov stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Gorshkov dives in for a single leg takedown but Tunnelly sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Tunnelly clinches.
Tunnelly jumps guard but Gorshkov stands there with Tunnelly around his waist. Tunnelly gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Tunnelly fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Tunnelly tries to pull guard but Gorshkov won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Saradas Tunnelly. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gorshkov has Tunnelly pressed against the cage.
Gorshkov tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tunnelly smiles and moves away.

Gorshkov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Gorshkov has closed the distance and engaged Tunnelly in a clinch.
Gorshkov fails to pull guard.
Tunnelly tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gorshkov smiles and moves away.
Gorshkov fails with a takedown attempt.

Gorshkov scores with a takedown into Tunnelly's guard.
Tunnelly on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tunnelly tries to get out of the position.
Gorshkov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tunnelly keeping moving, preventing Gorshkov from controlling successfully.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gorshkov fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Gorshkov tries to work over Tunnelly's front leg with a kick but Tunnelly checks it.
Tunnelly feinted with a counter takedown.
Tunnelly looks to land a combination but Gorshkov avoids it well.
Gorshkov tries to clinch there but Tunnelly circles away.
Tunnelly shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gorshkov defends it nicely.

Gorshkov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Tunnelly wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Gorshkov is now in half guard.

Tunnelly has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Gorshkov is trying to keep an underhook but Tunnelly manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Tunnelly is nestled in close to Gorshkov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Tunnelly stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Gorshkov to get to his feet.

Leon Gorshkov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Tunnelly manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gorshkov on his heels. He'll look to pass Gorshkov's guard now, I'm sure.

Gorshkov shoots in for a double leg but Tunnelly sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Gorshkov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tunnelly moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gorshkov passes Tunnelly's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Gorshkov is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Tunnelly tries to buck Gorshkov off but Gorshkov takes his back!

Gorshkov has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Tunnelly is in real trouble here. Gorshkov gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Tunnelly is tapping out! Gorshkov wins by rear naked choke!
