The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease.

Silva is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Silva, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Silva against the cage but Silva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
