Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mako Takaziko (ranked 23715 p4p, 342 weight class) and Sean McAodh (ranked 23106 p4p, 372 weight class). Sean McAodh has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mako Takaziko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sean McAodh!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Takaziko pushes McAodh up against the cage in a clinch.

McAodh gets control of Takaziko's arms and successfully pulls guard. McAodh will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Takaziko is looking to stand up but McAodh won't let him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McAodh is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Takaziko is aware though and is defending well.
Takaziko distracts McAodh with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Takaziko wants to get up but he can't break McAodh's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Takaziko not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Takaziko wants to stand but McAodh is controlling his posture from full guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

McAodh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Takaziko gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Takaziko stands and steps away. McAodh gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

McAodh shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Takaziko will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Takaziko is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Takaziko tries to stand and escape but McAodh actually recovers to full guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Takaziko has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of McAodh is proving hard to escape from.
Takaziko is fighting to break McAodh's control of his arms but McAodh is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
McAodh is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Takaziko is controlling him.

McAodh is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Takaziko rolls with it to try and escape but McAodh cranks on the arm and Takaziko is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
