TWGC 20 (185lbs, D1): Las Vegas Qualifier - Round 2 PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between George Arias (ranked 3977 p4p, 472 weight class) and Fahad Al Qarni (ranked 1189 p4p, 161 weight class). Al Qarni comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hells Bells kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 11 wins and 2 losses; George Arias! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 7 wins and 3 losses; Fahad Al Qarni!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Arias tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Al Qarni swivels and escapes.

Al Qarni closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Arias is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Al Qarni is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
