Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hiroshi Hatayama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muay Plata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hatayama comes to the ring accompanied by Samurai Soul. Plata has chosen Creeping Death as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hatayama lands a jab to Plata's midsection.

Hatayama throws out a loose jab but Plata uses good head movement to avoid it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hatayama isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Plata stacks Hatayama on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Plata!

Hatayama seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Plata for as long as he can get away with.
