The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bender is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Bormier stuffs the takedown attempt from Bender. Bender gets slowly back to his feet.
Bender moves in looking to clinch but Bormier pushes him off.
Bender fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bormier drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Bender defends it well.
Bender changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bormier tries to avoid it but Bender manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bormier to the ground. Bormier escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bormier has Bender pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bormier pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bender tumbling to the mat - Bormier dives into Bender's guard.
Bender wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Bormier manages to pass to side control.

Bender pushes off an throws an elbow but Bormier leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Bender jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bormier walks away with a smile on his face. Bender gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Well Bormier has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
