The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skotkonung looks to score with a jab to the body but Romanoff is just out of range.
Romanoff closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Skotkonung tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Romanoff stands up.
Vacily Romanoff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Romanoff misses with an attempted mid kick.
Romanoff shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Skotkonung keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Romanoff shoots for a double leg takedown but Skotkonung sprawls well. He's pushed Romanoff's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Romanoff closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Romanoff lands in his opponent's guard.
Romanoff is sitting in close to Skotkonung's body. Skotkonung has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Romanoff is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Romanoff is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Skotkonung.
