PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dani Legrange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Allan McCracken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Legrange kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is White Rabbit. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCracken avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McCracken misses with a two punch combination.
McCracken swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Legrange fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McCracken, pushing him back against the cage.
McCracken wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

It looks like Allan McCracken has been cut.
Legrange stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

McCracken wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
McCracken has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Legrange is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

McCracken stops a takedown attempt from Legrange.

Legrange throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but McCracken blocks it with crossed arms.
Legrange is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
McCracken is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
McCracken pushes off an throws an elbow but Legrange leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

McCracken is looking to break free of the clinch but Legrange has double underhooks.

McCracken pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McCracken lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Legrange misses with a kick to the body.
Legrange is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Allan McCracken's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


McCracken looks to land a combination but Legrange avoids it well.
McCracken wants to clinch

and Legrange counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
McCracken looks like he's trying to stand up.
Legrange stalling.
McCracken has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Legrange is working away from the top position though.
Legrange passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for McCracken!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McCracken is desperately trying to improve his position but Legrange has a good base and remains in mount.

Legrange takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Legrange has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of McCracken's face.

Legrange cracks McCracken with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

McCracken sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Legrange prevents McCracken from standing back up.
Legrange is nestled in close to McCracken, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
McCracken tries to kick Legrange off but Legrange keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Legrange seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
McCracken pushes Legrange off looking to stand but Legrange dives back in and keeps control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
McCracken tries for a takedown but Legrange circles away easily
and Legrange counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
McCracken throws a right hand that Legrange ducks under and follows up with a left that Legrange also avoids with ease.
McCracken throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Legrange counters with a nice leg kick.

McCracken's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
McCracken wants to clinch up but Legrange keeps it at a distance.
Legrange fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McCracken.

Legrange darts in and clinches McCracken up against the cage.
McCracken drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Legrange gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Legrange changes levels and goes for a takedown here. McCracken fights it off and pushes away nicely.
McCracken throws a right and a left that Legrange avoids nicely.
McCracken is looking to land body kicks.

McCracken on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Legrange. Legrange obviously looking to wear him down.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McCracken will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Legrange is looking to clinch but McCracken is avoiding it.

and Legrange counters with a series of strikes. McCracken will be more careful next time no doubt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McCracken can't break the clinch.
McCracken is trying to break free.
McCracken gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

McCracken avoiding damage as Legrange throws knees to the body.

Legrange works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Well Legrange has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
