Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pepeng Pinakamalupet (ranked 3112 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Wonstom (ranked 3496 p4p, 0 weight class). Pinakamalupet comes to the cage accompanied by The Time is Now. Wonstom is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Avenged Sevenfold - Lips Of Deceit. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ivan Wonstom!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wonstom throws a nice looking combination but Pinakamalupet bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ivan Wonstom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pinakamalupet with a hook.
Some wild striking there from Wonstom.
Pinakamalupet takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Pinakamalupet misses with a body shot.
Pinakamalupet throws a series of strikes that have Wonstom backpedaling.
Pinakamalupet is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Wonstom ducks right into an uppercut from Pinakamalupet.
Pinakamalupet tries to land a front kick but Wonstom steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Wonstom cracks the inside of Pinakamalupet's front leg.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wonstom thumps Pinakamalupet with a low kick.
Wonstom sizes up Pinakamalupet with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Wonstom thows a left - swing and a miss!
Pinakamalupet tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Wonstom manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wonstom avoids a punch combination nicely.

Pinakamalupet walks into a stiff left hand from Wonstom.
Pinakamalupet wants to clinch.
Wonstom swinging wildly here.
Wonstom throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Wonstom looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Pinakamalupet throws a leg kick but Wonstom sees it coming and moves out of range.
Wonstom bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
An inside leg kick lands from Wonstom.

Pinakamalupet gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Pinakamalupet really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...

Wonstom manages to break the clinch.
Wonstom thumps Pinakamalupet with a low kick.
Pinakamalupet throws out a leg kick but Wonstom moves out of range and Pinakamalupet only half commits.

Pinakamalupet lands a left and a right that sends Wonstom crashing to the canvas! Pinakamalupet dives into mount looking to finish!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Pinakamalupet is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Pinakamalupet throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wonstom.
Pinakamalupet ducks right into an uppercut from Wonstom.

Pinakamalupet fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pinakamalupet lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wonstom lands with a cross.
Sloppy strikes from Wonstom. Those never looked like landing.
Wonstom misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wonstom checks a leg kick.
Wonstom avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wonstom lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Pinakamalupet tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Pinakamalupet tries to move into range but Wonstom moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Wonstom throws a right hand that misses
and Pinakamalupet counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Wonstom jabs Pinakamalupet right on the nose. Pinakamalupet blinks but takes it well.


Pinakamalupet is rocked!
A big right followed by a crushing left from Wonstom knocks Pinakamalupet out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ivan Wonstom!
Our winner, Ivan Wonstom, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
