And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Reggie McMillian!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McMillian wants to clinch up but Anderson keeps it at a distance.
Anderson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McMillian swivels and escapes.
A combination from Anderson does no damage.
McMillian lands a head kick!


It looks like Gary Anderson has been cut.
McMillian with a lazy takedown attempt

and Anderson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McMillian's guard.
McMillian has a closed guard, preventing Anderson from standing up.
McMillian looking for a sweep. Not yet McMillian, not yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anderson wants to stand but McMillian is controlling his posture from full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

and Anderson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Anderson.

McMillian is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Anderson presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

McMillian manages to break the clinch.
Anderson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

McMillian gets a double leg takedown into Anderson's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Anderson is trying to keep McMillian in close.

Anderson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Anderson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
McMillian wanted to stand there but Anderson had control of the position.
McMillian wants to pass the guard but Anderson is keeping the position.
Anderson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McMillian's guard.

McMillian keeping moving, preventing Anderson from controlling successfully.
McMillian is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

McMillian has control of Anderson's left arm, preventing Anderson from doing any damage.
McMillian is wriggling around but Anderson manages to pass to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McMillian kicks off Anderson and gets to his feet.

McMillian instigates a clinch.

McMillian shoots and misses

and Anderson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
McMillian on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Anderson prevents a takedown attempt there.
Gary Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reggie McMillian.
McMillian is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Anderson to keep the fight standing.
McMillian tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Anderson smiles and moves away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Anderson.
McMillian shoots in but no luck this time.

Anderson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McMillian darts in looking for a takedown but Anderson gets double underhooks and turns McMillian into the cage.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


McMillian shoots for a takedown but Anderson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Horrible takedown attempt by McMillian or perhaps it was just good defense by Anderson, which made it look bad.
Anderson attempts a counter takedown but McMillian avoids it well and moves away.

McMillian clinches.
Anderson is looking to break free of the clinch but McMillian has double underhooks.
McMillian landing some nice looking knees to the body.

McMillian pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Reggie McMillian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Anderson leaves McMillian with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Anderson half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Anderson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McMillian.
McMillian tries for a takedown but Anderson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

McMillian uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Anderson.
Nice takedown defense from McMillian. No joy for Anderson on that attempt.
Anderson shoots in for a double leg but McMillian sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Anderson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Anderson wants it to stay on the feet.
McMillian fails in his attempt to clinch.
McMillian slips under a jab.
McMillian changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Anderson tries to avoid it but McMillian manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Anderson to the ground. Anderson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gary Anderson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
McMillian slaps away a takedown attempt from Anderson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Anderson sets himself, and McMillian steps forward looking for the clinch! Anderson avoids it this time.

McMillian tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Anderson swivels and escapes.

Anderson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. McMillian did well to prevent Anderson getting side control.
McMillian scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Anderson manages to mount him!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Anderson throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! McMillian has his hands clasped together but Anderson breaks the hold and McMillian is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Anderson!
