The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ali.

Silva gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Ali can't break the clinch.
Silva is trying to stall.
Ali misses with a knee to the head.
Ali jumps guard but Silva stands there with Ali around his waist. Ali gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Silva is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Ali is keeping busy.
Silva has Ali pushed against the cage.

Silva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Silva tries to clinch there but Ali circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva tries to clinch up.

Ali drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ali stays in close to Silva's body and controls the position.

Silva looking for a guillotine here but Ali defends easily.

Ali is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Silva isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ali stacks Silva on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ali!
Silva is letting Ali control him for a moment.

Ali has an Americana. Silva didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Ali is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Ali hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
