Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raul Ewing!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Lucas!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Lucas closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lucas lands in his opponent's guard.
Lucas would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Ewing could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lucas seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
It looks like Lucas might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ewing keeping full guard, as Lucas tries to pass.

Lucas postures up in Ewing's guard and throws a big left but Ewing blocks it.
Lucas trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Lucas preventing the sweep.
Lucas with a flurry of punches that miss.
Ewing can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lucas controls the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Lucas clinches up with Ewing and pushes him back against the cage.

Lucas gets control of Ewing's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lucas will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Lucas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ewing doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ewing manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Ewing has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Lucas pushes a forearm under Ewing's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Ewing is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
