Guzman wants to get up but he can't break Masters 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Masters can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Guzman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Guzman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Masters manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Masters changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Masters bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Despite the aggression on Masters 's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
