Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jim Bo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White has chosen Time 4 Sum Aksion as his entrance music. Frank White will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jim Bo!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank White!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bo misses with a hook. White ducked under it nicely.
Bo misses the shot to the body.
White slips under a jab from Bo.
Bo connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Bo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jim Bo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice defenses there by White.
Bo with a poor takedown

and White holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bo is trying to break free.
White goes for a takedown attempt but Bo pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
A right-left combo lands from Bo.

White shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Bo counters with a leg kick.
Jim Bo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank White.
White checks the leg kick.
Bo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Bo lands a nice hook to White's body. White takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

White shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than White was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Bo is looking to get to half guard.

White lands with some strikes.
Bo keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bo throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bo holds on to White as tight as he can, avoiding damage.
White has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

White is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bo is surviving well by controlling White's body position as best he can.
White moves to back control.

White doesn't have the hooks in and Bo manages to turn into his guard.
White looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Bo puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

White makes his way to full guard. A much better position for White.

Bo chips away with some ground and pound.

White controls Bo momentarily but Bo frees himself.

Bo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Bo is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Bo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. White doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bo.

White utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Bo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as White works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
White slips under a jab from Bo.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
A combination from Bo does no damage.
Bo is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Bo's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
White has his takedown stuffed

and Bo counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bo.
White is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bo slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Sloppy strikes there by Bo.
Bo throws a strike aimed at the side of White's head but White avoids it well.

White has one of Bo's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.

White is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Bo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Bo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed White's head.
Bo is keen to just control but White is a slippery customer.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bo throws a series of punches but White avoids them all with ease.
Bo cracks White with a right hand to the side of the head.
Bo tests White's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Frank White is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bo throws a lazy right hand but White sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bo closes the distance and clinches up with White, looking for a takedown. Bo pushes White against the cage but White circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

White jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bo walks away with a smile on his face. White gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Bo misses the shot to the body.
White slips under a jab from Bo.
White blocks a jab.
Bo tries to clinch but fails miserably

and White counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Bo tries to roll over but White keeps him under control.
Bo wants to get back to full guard but White has mounted him!
Bo throwing hammer fists to the chest of White. What's that going to do exactly?

White fails to move to back control.
White with shots to the head and body - Bo looks very uncomfortable down there.
White trying to control but he's not successful this time.
White is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Bo working to try and regain half guard.
Bo flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bo throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
White throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Bo because White loaded up on that one.
White avoids the attempt from Bo to control.
Bo is squirming around, avoiding White's attempts to control the action.
White mounts Bo! Really nice guard pass there!
White looking to control but Bo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
White takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Bo is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

White can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bo is looking to escape.

White swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Bo is now in White's guard. A big mistake from White there, giving up the dominant position!
Bo wants to control from the top but White keeps moving.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That's time! Bo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Bo postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. White looks a forlorn figure.

Bo lands with some vicious ground and pound - can White hang on?
