Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Colden Dostal (ranked 6229 p4p, 0 weight class) and Owen King (ranked 9268 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Colden Dostal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Owen King!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King swats away the attempt to clinch by Dostal.
King feints the counter takedown.

Dostal shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
King manages to get to full guard.
Dostal knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for King on the ground.
Dostal looking to pass the guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dostal postures up.
Dostal content to stall in guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

King is working an open guard so Dostal takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Dostal looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for King!
King wants to control but Dostal postures up.
Dostal staying calm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King tries to improve position but can't.
King wants to get back to his feet.

Dostal decides to stand back up. Dostal steps back and let's King get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
King shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dostal but Dostal pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Dostal throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. King was covering up waiting for the punch and Dostal finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Dostal tries to free his leg and advance position but King is retaining full guard.
Dostal has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
King bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dostal's guard.

King stops Dostal from standing up.

King avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Dostal throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Dostal is breathing heavily.
King wants to control from the top but Dostal keeps moving.
Dostal is trying to control the position from the bottom.
King wants to control from the top but Dostal keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
King trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
King is looking to work some ground and pound but Dostal has wrist control.
King wants to control from the top but Dostal keeps moving.
King slips nicely into half guard.
Dostal gets back to full guard.
King trying to control the position from guard on top but Dostal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
King wants to pass the guard but Dostal is keeping the position.
Dostal is adopting a defensive guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Colden Dostal dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


King fails with a takedown attempt.
King takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Dostal is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that King can do to turn this around?

Dostal shoots in and bounces King off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

King is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dostal defends well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dostal stays in close to King's body and controls the position.

Dostal prevents King from getting back to his feet.
King tries to land a sweep but no joy.
King trying to keep a closed guard but Dostal is proving a slippery customer.
King being controlled here, momentarily.
Dostal has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
King lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

King trying to control the position from guard on top but Dostal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dostal wants to stand but King is controlling the position.
King stands and throws Dostal's legs to the side, diving into side control.
King advances to mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dostal has given up his back here. Will King look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Dostal trying to get back to his feet but King is in full control for now.
Dostal is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

King looking for the RNC.
Dostal tries to escape but King has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
A lull in the action here.
Dostal looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

King working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Dostal is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and King has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Dostal taps out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Owen King!
An out of breath Owen King thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
