The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Judo lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Trumpsfeld looks to land a combination but Judo avoids it well.
Trumpsfeld fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Judo manages to avoid it.
Trumpsfeld's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Judo connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Trumpsfeld scrambles back to his feet.

Judo throws an overhand right that lands on Trumpsfeld's shoulder, as Trumpsfeld tries to avoid the shot.
Trumpsfeld throws a looping overhand right but Judo ducks down to avoid it.
Judo looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Trumpsfeld lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Trumpsfeld throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Judo! But no joy.

Judo rushes Trumpsfeld and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Trumpsfeld avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Trumpsfeld tries to stand but Judo is controlling from the bottom.

Trumpsfeld stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Dan Trumpsfeld is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Trumpsfeld moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Goku Judo has been cut.
Trumpsfeld tries to bum rush Judo with a series of wild strikes but Judo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Judo looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Judo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Trumpsfeld moves away.
A head kick misses from Trumpsfeld.
Judo connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Judo connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Judo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Trumpsfeld is wriggling around but Judo manages to pass to half guard.

Judo perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Judo drops an elbow to the side of Trumpsfeld's head.
Trumpsfeld wants to get back to his feet.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Judo connects with a nice short shot to Trumpsfeld's temple.
Trumpsfeld on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Trumpsfeld tries to get out of the position.
Trumpsfeld tries to kick Judo off but Judo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Judo is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Trumpsfeld tries to kick Judo off in order to stand up. Judo Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Trumpsfeld wants to get back to his feet but Judo drags him back down.
Judo trying to control the position but Trumpsfeld is working away.
Judo cracks Trumpsfeld with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Judo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Judo looks up at the clock and then as Trumpsfeld takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Judo smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Trumpsfeld knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Judo on the ground.

Judo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Judo trying to control the action but Trumpsfeld is working from the bottom.

Judo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Judo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Judo works to advance to full mount. Trumpsfeld defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
You get the feeling that Trumpsfeld really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Judo looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Trumpsfeld is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Judo looking to control and managing it successfully.

Judo has hold of Trumpsfeld's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Trumpsfeld manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Judo lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Judo controlling the pace for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Judo misses with a jab, cross combination.
Trumpsfeld cracks Judo with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Trumpsfeld throws a left and a right that both miss
and Judo counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Judo might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

A telegraphed right hand from Trumpsfeld misses the target.

and Judo counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Trumpsfeld badly! He tries to strike back but Judo puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Trumpsfeld out cold! Oh man, Trumpsfeld will never hear the end of this one!
