Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Bubeyes .
Bubeyes tries to clinch but Housey moves away
and Housey counters with a shoot takedown. Bubeyes fights it but they end up in guard.
Bubeyes looking to control.
Bubeyes throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bubeyes has his foot on Housey's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Housey works his way back into a safe position though.
Bubeyes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Housey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bubeyes wants to sweep but no luck.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bubeyes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Housey working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bubeyes 's head.

Housey is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Housey's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Bubeyes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Housey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Housey with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Bubeyes tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Bubeyes is still in real trouble! Can Housey finish him?
Bubeyes can't keep his opponent in guard - Housey advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Housey lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Bubeyes quite badly. Bubeyes pulls Housey in close trying to recover. Housey postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Bubeyes on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Bubeyes doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Honda Housey!
