The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pigeon tries a head kick but it misses.
Pigeon misses with a wild combination.
Hunt attempts a counter takedown but Pigeon avoids it well and moves away.

Pigeon manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hunt on his heels. He'll look to pass Hunt's guard now, I'm sure.
Hunt definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Pigeon wants to stand and escape but instead Hunt has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Pigeon might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hunt haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Hunt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pigeon can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hunt looking to sit in guard and control but Pigeon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Pigeon would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Pigeon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hunt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Pigeon wants to pass the guard but Hunt is keeping the position.

Hunt is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Pigeon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Pigeon's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Hunt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Pigeon is looking to work some ground and pound but Hunt has wrist control.
