Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Kay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kassim Suluhu!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Chad Campbell and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kay tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Suluhu is able to avoid easily.
No luck for Kay with that takedown attempt.

Suluhu remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Suluhu chips away with some ground and pound.
Suluhu postures up and lands a big shot to Kay's brow.
Kay definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Suluhu closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kay to the mat! Kay manages to get full guard.

Kay has his foot on Suluhu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Suluhu works his way back into a safe position though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Suluhu seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Kay shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Suluhu but Suluhu pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Suluhu has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Kay is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Suluhu in particular looking to stall.

Well Suluhu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
