Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohsin Zaidi (ranked 3955 p4p, 475 weight class) and Carlos Danger (ranked 3099 p4p, 396 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mohsin Zaidi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Carlos Danger!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Joseph Jones and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Danger tries to sprawl but Zaidi drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Danger felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

We've been hearing good reports from Zaidi's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Danger really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zaidi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Zaidi connects with a nice short shot to Danger's temple.

Danger throws a body punch but Zaidi moves out of range.
Zaidi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Zaidi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Danger sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Danger lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Zaidi at a distance.
Danger throws out a loose jab but Zaidi uses good head movement to avoid it.
Danger fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Zaidi tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Zaidi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

and Danger connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mohsin Zaidi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nice straight punches there by Danger. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Danger.
Danger throws a jab but it's blocked by Zaidi.
Zaidi walks into a stiff left hand from Danger.
Danger connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Danger connects with a good right hand that stumbles Zaidi. Zaidi circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
A left lands for Danger.
Danger lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Zaidi thows a leg kick but Danger checks it
letting Danger counter with a right hand.
Danger scores with the left hand. Zaidi knows he should have avoided that one.
Carlos Danger seems to be getting the better of the standup.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Danger bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

and Danger connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


Zaidi is rocked!
Zaidi throws a wild body kick that Danger sees coming a mile off.
It seemed like Danger was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Zaidi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Danger as he jumps to the side.
Zaidi is looking to land body kicks.
Danger fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Zaidi on the side of the head.
Danger might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Zaidi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Danger dips to his left and cracks Zaidi with an uppercut!
Oh Zaidi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Danger scores with a jab to the head.
Nice sprawl there from Danger as Zaidi shoots in.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Danger cracks Zaidi on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Zaidi falls backwards against the cage. Danger follows up with more strikes that drop Zaidi to his knees. Danger keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Zaidi! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carlos Danger!
