The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Calvert has Simpson up against the cage in a clinch.

Simpson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Calvert pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Simpson pushes off an throws an elbow but Calvert leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Calvert is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Simpson can't fight it off and eventually Calvert manages to take the fight to the floor. Simpson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Simpson tries to keep at a distance but Calvert has taken the fight into the clinch.
Simpson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Calvert gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Calvert dances in with a quick combination. Simpson is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Calvert snaps Simpson's head back. Simpson stumbles backwards against the cage. Calvert steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Simpson's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Simpson just didn't come prepared.
