Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brady Baird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jet Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson lands with a straight right. Baird didn't see that one coming.
Thompson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Thompson.

It looks like Brady Baird has been cut.
Baird shoots for a double leg takedown but Thompson sprawls well. He's pushed Baird's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Thompson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
A head kick misses from Baird.
Baird takes one to the chin there.
Baird closes this distance looking for a takedown but Thompson circles away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Thompson throws a series of strikes that have Baird backpedaling.
Thompson steps into range and cracks Baird with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Baird flops backwards and Thompson dives into his guard looking to finish!

Baird is rocked!

Brady Baird's cut is getting worse.
Baird is breathing heavily.
Thompson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Baird swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Oh Baird is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Thompson works over Baird with some ground and pound from guard.
Baird seems to have got his legs back now.

Thompson stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Thompson lands a big uppercut and Baird crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Baird looks OK. Thompson waves Baird back to his feet!
Thompson fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Baird to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Baird looks to clinch but Thompson throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Baird taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
