Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mirko Filipovic (ranked 2948 p4p, 331 weight class) and Max Luther (ranked 3288 p4p, 361 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Filipovic might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Wild Boys - Duran Duran. Max Luther has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filipovic lands with a kick to the ribs.
Luther takes a body punch but keeps moving.

and Filipovic counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Max Luther has been cut.
Filipovic misses with a wild body shot.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Luther! But no joy.
Luther takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Filipovic lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Luther swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

I was talking to Filipovic's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
