Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cedric Armstrong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cocaine Cowboy!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Armstrong has closed the distance and engaged Cowboy in a clinch.

Cowboy decides to pull guard.

Armstrong stands and steps away. Cowboy gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Armstrong takes the fight into the clinch.

Armstrong breaks the clinch.

Cowboy closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Armstrong is looking to improve his position.
Armstrong keeping hold of Cowboy's head, controlling as best he can.
Cowboy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Armstrong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Armstrong is looking for a sweep. Cowboy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Cowboy is looking to take a break and control but Armstrong is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Armstrong decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Armstrong throws a quick counter head kick but Cowboy was just out of range.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Cowboy wants to clinch.

Cowboy shoots in and gets a takedown into Armstrong's guard.
Armstrong wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Cowboy prevents Armstrong from getting back to his feet.
Cowboy in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Armstrong tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Cowboy must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cowboy postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Cowboy working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Cowboy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Cowboy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Armstrong swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cocaine Cowboy has got the better of the ground game so far.
Armstrong keeping moving, preventing Cowboy from controlling successfully.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Armstrong has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cowboy fails in his attempt to clinch.
Armstrong is looking to counter the offense by Cowboy and move into the clinch.
Armstrong looks for the body kick but Cowboy saw that one coming.
Cowboy misses the shot to the body.
Armstrong tries to clinch but Cowboy moves out of range.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Armstrong enables Cowboy to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Armstrong manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Armstrong wriggles free and stands up.

Armstrong misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Cowboy has taken the fight to the clinch.
Armstrong is trying to break the clinch but Cowboy is controlling him.
Armstrong effectively controlling the action here.

Cowboy gets a double leg takedown into Armstrong's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Cowboy.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cowboy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Armstrong has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Cowboy should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Armstrong has tightened it up now! Cowboy should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
