Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Randy Dunlap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Khasey Malki!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dunlap tries to sprawl but Malki drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Malki is looking to stall here but Dunlap recovers full guard.
Malki with a flurry of punches that miss.

Dunlap has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Malki has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Malki manages to pull guard.
Malki controls Dunlap momentarily but Dunlap frees himself.

Malki not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dunlap throws a big elbow that misses.

Malki working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dunlap doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dunlap manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Malki looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Malki is working an open guard so Dunlap takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Khasey Malki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Malki throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dunlap was covering up waiting for the punch and Malki finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Dunlap pulls Malki in close to his closed guard and prevents Malki from doing any damage or advancing position.

Dunlap wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Malki throws an elbow that misses. Dunlap uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Malki's guard. Nice move by Dunlap!

Dunlap really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dunlap is in close to Malki's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Dunlap content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Malki is trying to control the position but Dunlap postures up.

Malki shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Dunlap stands and steps away. Malki gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Dunlap manages to get back to half guard.
Dunlap tries to roll over but Malki keeps him under control.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Malki closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dunlap's guard.
Malki looking to sit in guard and control but Dunlap gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Dunlap would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Malki manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dunlap manages to get himself to full guard.

Malki drives through and clinches with Dunlap against the cage.
Malki digs a right hand into Dunlap's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Dunlap's gas tank.

Malki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Malki closes the distance and clinches.

Malki works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Dunlap will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Dunlap pulls Malki in close to prevent any damage.
Malki stops Dunlap from standing up.

Malki tries to stand but Dunlap is controlling from the bottom.

Dunlap has an active guard here but Malki has managed to pass into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dunlap tries to kick Malki off but Malki keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Khasey Malki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Dunlap is looking to clinch but Malki is avoiding it.
Malki looks to land a right hand but Dunlap moved out of range.

Malki clinches up with Dunlap and pushes him back against the cage.
Dunlap is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Malki is defending well.

Dunlap gets control of Malki's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dunlap will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Dunlap's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Randy Dunlap overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

I wouldn't like to be where Dunlap is right now.

Malki goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Dunlap rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Malki's guard! Nice work there by Dunlap!
Malki is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dunlap's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Dunlap decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Malki, up you get!
Dunlap looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Malki scores with a jab to the body.
Dunlap goes for a double leg but Malki avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Malki continues to drive forward.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randy Dunlap. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Malki fails to land with a series of punches.
Malki throws a series of punches but Dunlap moves out of range.

Malki has taken the fight to the clinch.

Dunlap drags the fight down to the ground.

Dunlap manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Malki takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Malki throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
It looked like Dunlap was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Malki.
Dunlap misses with a head kick.

Malki clinches.

Malki gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Dunlap manages to escape and get back to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Dunlap fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Malki, pushing him back against the cage.

Dunlap breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dunlap enables Malki to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dunlap manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Dunlap has his hands on Malki's head, controlling the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Randy Dunlap.
I think Dunlap has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
