Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Reed Fowler (ranked 6196 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yusuf Yilmaz (ranked 4115 p4p, 0 weight class). Yusuf Yilmaz looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fowler throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Yilmaz was covering up waiting for the punch and Fowler finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Yilmaz looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Fowler content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Fowler throws a big elbow that misses.
Fowler is looking to work some ground and pound but Yilmaz has wrist control.

Fowler stands up and waves to Yilmaz to follow him.
Fowler shoots for a double leg takedown but Yilmaz sprawls well. He's pushed Fowler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Fowler gets caught flat footed, as Yilmaz shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Fowler will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Fowler with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Yilmaz can't handle though.
Fowler is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fowler slips a nice elbow through Yilmaz's hands, connecting with Yilmaz's forehead.

Fowler is nestled in close to Yilmaz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Fowler seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yilmaz has hold of Fowler's hands but Fowler slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
It looks like Fowler is going to stand back up.

Fowler winds up and cracks Yilmaz with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Yilmaz is trying to get back to full guard.
Fowler really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Fowler stands up and beckons Yilmaz to join him on the feet.

Fowler decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Yilmaz wants to control but Fowler is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Fowler tries to stand but can't do so whilst Yilmaz controls his leg.

Yilmaz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Fowler's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Fowler is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Yilmaz can do to turn this around?
Yilmaz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Fowler postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Yilmaz covers up, he's hurt! Fowler keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Fowler and the ref steps in to end the fight! Fowler can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
