Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mass Hitta (ranked 5293 p4p, 589 weight class) and Franky Ebb (ranked 9503 p4p, 789 weight class). Ebb is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Running away. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Franky Ebb!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ebb doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hitta counters with a left and a right that stings Ebb.

Hitta moves into the clinch.
Ebb letting Hitta take a breather here.

Hitta decides to pull guard.
Ebb trying to move into half guard but instead Hitta has managed to sweep!

Hitta trying to control but Ebb is working from the bottom.

Our spies down at at Bobby's Bench Shop inform us that Ebb has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hitta pushes down on Ebb's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Ebb should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Hitta trying to pass the guard but Ebb defending well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Ebb is trying to stand.
Hitta is taking a breather. Ebb says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Hitta will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hitta escapes and gets back to his feet.
Hitta throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ebb.
Hitta lands with a straight right. Ebb didn't see that one coming.
Hitta with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Ebb ducks straight into an uppercut from Hitta and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Ebb manages to regain guard straight away.
Ebb looks winded!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ebb trying to control the position.
Hitta controls from within his opponent's guard.
Hitta stands and throws Ebb's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Hitta is looking to take a break and control but Ebb is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hitta throwing strikes but Ebb manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Ebb stands up.
Hitta throws a sloppy head kick

and Ebb holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Hitta manages to break the clinch.
Ebb walks into a straight right hand from Hitta.
Ebb takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Hitta delivers a nice body kick.
Hitta moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Hitta scores with a jab to the jaw.

Hitta darts in and clinches Ebb up against the ropes.

Hitta gets control of Ebb's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hitta will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ebb is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Ebb trying to control the position from guard on top but Hitta is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hitta looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Hitta had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ebb defends it easily.
Ebb looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Hitta tries to land a sweep but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mass Hitta dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hitta throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ebb.
Ebb tries to close the distance and clinch but Hitta swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hitta avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hitta looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ebb takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Hitta goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Ebb throws a leg kick
and Hitta counters with a nice body shot.

Hitta lands a big shot that drops Ebb! Can he finish him?

Ebb is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hitta arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Ebb's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
