The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sawyer gets tackled into the cage by Mcgraugh. Mcgraugh maintains the clinch.
Mcgraugh keeps control of Sawyer as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Mcgraugh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Good leg kick by Mcgraugh there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

It looks like Earle Sawyer has been cut.

Sawyer seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Mcgraugh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sawyer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mcgraugh has a hand on Sawyer's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Sawyer takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Mcgraugh tries to improve his position but Sawyer has taken his back! Sawyer has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Mcgraugh tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Sawyer pushes Mcgraugh away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
