The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peixoto tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Crocodile manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
It looked like Crocodile was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Peixoto.
Peixoto looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Peixoto lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Crocodile circles away quickly and effectively.
Nice takedown defense from Crocodile. No joy for Peixoto on that attempt.

As Peixoto looks to move away, Crocodile throws a big counter combo but Peixoto just gets out of the way.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Crocodile connects with a nice short shot to Peixoto's temple.
Still in half guard, Crocodile seems content to control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Peixoto has hold of Crocodile's hands but Crocodile slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Crocodile seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Crocodile will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
