Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bessarion Alexius (ranked 3930 p4p, 412 weight class) and Liber Alderich (ranked 2474 p4p, 287 weight class). Alexius comes into the arena with A Country Boy Can Survive blaring out of the sound system. Alderich has chosen Till I collapse as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexius throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Alderich.

Alderich has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Alexius is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Alderich.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Alderich is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Alexius is just riding it out for now. Alderich eventually gives up the hold.

That was a close round but I would say that Bessarion Alexius will probably get the nod.
