Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Viktor Mikhailov!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Todd Rumper!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A leg kick checked by Mikhailov.
Rumper avoids the head kick by Mikhailov.
Rumper attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Mikhailov avoids a punch combination nicely.
A shot to the body from Mikhailov misses
and Mikhailov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mikhailov misses with a low kick as Rumper jumps back.
A little jabbing left from Rumper on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Mikhailov connects with a body shot that sends Rumper's belly button to the back.
Mikhailov tries a head kick but it misses.
A combination from Mikhailov does no damage.
Mikhailov misses with a combination
and Rumper counters with a nice uppercut.
Rumper lands a nice looking body shot.
Rumper lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mikhailov circles away quickly and effectively.
As Rumper looks to move away, Mikhailov throws a big counter combo but Rumper just gets out of the way.
A slow jab from Mikhailov misses its intended target.
Rumper lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nice body punch from Rumper.
Rumper scores with a punch to the head.

Rumper drops his shoulder and cracks Mikhailov with a huge uppercut! Mikhailov goes down! Can Rumper finish him?


Mikhailov is rocked!
Rumper stays in close to Mikhailov's body and controls the position.
Oh Mikhailov is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Rumper has gone for a leg lock! Mikhailov slips out almost immediately though and dives into Rumper's guard.


Rumper is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rumper is looking for a triangle but Mikhailov pushes his legs off easily.
Mikhailov won't allow Rumper to sweep him here.

Mikhailov wants to pass the guard but Rumper is keeping the position.
Mikhailov wants to stand but Rumper has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Rumper looking to control.
Rumper looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mikhailov is one step ahead there.
Mikhailov seems to have got his legs back now.
Rumper being controlled here, momentarily.
Rumper is trying to hold Mikhailov in close to prevent damage but Mikhailov has managed to pass into half guard.

Mikhailov content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Mikhailov tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Rumper.
Rumper gets full guard.
Mikhailov stays in close to Rumper's body and controls the position.

Rumper looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Mikhailov passes into half guard.
Mikhailov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Rumper is looking to improve his position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mikhailov in particular looking to stall.

Mikhailov wants to stand up but Rumper is controlling the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mikhailov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rumper is just riding it out for now. Mikhailov eventually gives up the hold.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Rumper connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mikhailov. Mikhailov circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Rumper swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Mikhailov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Mikhailov takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Mikhailov blocks a leg kick.
Rumper moves out of range as Mikhailov throws a body kick.
Rumper throws a counter combo.
Rumper cracks Mikhailov on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Mikhailov falls backwards against the cage. Rumper follows up with more strikes that drop Mikhailov to his knees. Rumper keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Mikhailov! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Todd Rumper!
