Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Ingle (ranked 4747 p4p, 468 weight class) and Ghost Lightning (ranked 2563 p4p, 268 weight class). Ingle comes into the arena with Peak Times by Switch blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joseph Ingle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ghost Lightning!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lightning tries to sprawl but Ingle drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Ingle not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Ingle winds up and cracks Lightning with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Ingle thows a huge punch but Lightning dodges it nicely.
Lightning tries to kick Ingle off but Ingle keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Lightning avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ingle.
Lightning told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Lightning is looking to improve his position.
Ingle throwing shots but Lightning is blocking nicely.
Ingle throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Ingle wants to take a breather but Lightning is having none of it.
Lightning wants to improve his position but Ingle is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lightning is not content to let Ingle control the position.
Lightning has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ingle is working away from the top position though.
Ingle is looking to take a break and control but Lightning is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Lightning is trying to maintain the position but Ingle is very close to passing his half guard.
Ingle drops an elbow to the side of Lightning's head.
Lightning wants to get back to full guard.

Ingle missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Lightning is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ingle scores with a couple of nice shots.
Ingle throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Lightning has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ingle is working away from the top position though.
Ingle seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lightning does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Lightning is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ingle scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Ingle throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Lightning wants to get back to his feet.
Ingle looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Ingle misses with a head shot. Lightning uses the momentum to regain guard.
Ingle trying to control the position from guard on top but Lightning is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ingle might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ingle loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Ingle trying to control but Lightning is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lightning can't keep his opponent in guard - Ingle advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Lightning slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Lightning preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Lightning is trying to control the position but Ingle postures up.
Lightning might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ingle haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Lightning wants to sweep but no luck.
Ingle connects with a couple of short punches.
Ingle wants to control from the top but Lightning keeps moving.
Ingle pushes down on Lightning's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Lightning moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Lightning is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ingle loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Ingle cracks Lightning with a solid left hand.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lightning is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ingle trying to control the position from guard on top but Lightning is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joseph Ingle dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Lightning lands with a thumping leg kick.
Ingle has his takedown stuffed
and Lightning counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Lightning jabs Ingle to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Ingle tries to keep at a distance but Lightning has taken the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lightning lands with a light punch inside.

Lightning breaks from the clinch.
Ingle shoots in looking for a takedown but Lightning manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ingle's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lightning lands a big right hand that sends Ingle crashing to the mat! Lightning stays standing though and waves Ingle back to his feet!


It looks like Joseph Ingle has been cut.
Lightning walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Ingle drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Lightning swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Ingle's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ghost Lightning!
