Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mat Ropi Killer (ranked 6207 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gilberto Tanquinho (ranked 6340 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tanquinho closes the distance and clinches.

Killer has clasped his hands together around Tanquinho's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Tanquinho prevents Killer from improving position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Tanquinho is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Killer pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tanquinho tries to kick Killer off but Killer keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Killer seems to be working for a kimura but Tanquinho defends the submission attempt.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Tanquinho tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Killer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Killer is pushing Tanquinho up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Killer manages to break the clinch.
Killer swats away the attempt to clinch by Tanquinho.
Tanquinho on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Killer. Killer obviously looking to wear him down.

Tanquinho has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Killer uses from the top position.

Killer is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Tanquinho has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Killer is looking to defend but Tanquinho has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Killer! Tanquinho pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Killer taps out and this one is all over!
