And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ginchin Machida!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Glasspool as he jumps to the side.
Machida fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Machida shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Glasspool pinned against the cage. Glasspool gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sir Edgar Glasspool has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ginchin Machida.
Glasspool tries to clinch but Machida is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Machida slips a jab and a cross from Glasspool.

Glasspool moves in looking to clinch but Machida pushes him off.
Glasspool lands a nice looking kick to the body. Machida takes a step back to recover.

Machida is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Glasspool pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Glasspool moves into the clinch successfully.
Machida is trying desperately to land a takedown but Glasspool is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Machida.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Machida tries to stall but Glasspool uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Machida throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Glasspool's waist but Glasspool gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Machida off to one side.

The fight stays on the outside here - Glasspool looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Glasspool throws a sloppy head kick and Machida moves out of range easily.
Nice takedown defense from Glasspool. No joy for Machida on that attempt.
