These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies tries to clinch up but Nine circles away and keeps his distance.
A little feinted left hand from Nine on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Nice takedown defense from Nine. No joy for Davies on that attempt.
Davies buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Nine throws a sloppy body shot
and Davies counters with a nice leg kick.

Davies takes the fight into the clinch.
Davies stalling against the cage.
Nine is pressed up against the cage. Davies has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Nine down to the mat. Nine avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Davies shoots for a double leg takedown but Nine sprawls well. He's pushed Davies's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Power Nine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Davies.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nine scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Davies shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Nine throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Davies fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Davies is rocked!
Davies switches off momentarily and Nine cracks him with a monster right hand! Davies topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Nine dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Nine!
