The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buzpung gets tackled into the cage by Hopper. Hopper maintains the clinch.
Hopper tries to break the clinch but Buzpung is controlling the position.
A short uppercut from Buzpung.
Hopper tries to throw a body punch but Buzpung avoids it by throwing Hopper back against the cage.
Hopper looking to throw knees to the head but Buzpung is blocking nicely.
Hopper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Buzpung looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Hopper throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Buzpung is looking to slow Hopper down with leg kicks.
Buzpung throws a lazy head kick
and Hopper counters with a single leg into guard. Buzpung didn't expect that.
Hopper gets to his feet. Buzpung looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
A looping hook to the body misses from Hopper. Buzpung does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hopper fails with a takedown attempt.
Buzpung appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Buzpung forces Hopper back against the cage and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Buzpung dodges an elbow strike from Hopper.
Hopper jumps guard but Buzpung turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Hopper blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Hopper lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Buzpung backwards.
Hopper tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Buzpung just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Moshe Hopper. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hopper throws an elbow but it misses.
Buzpung lands a right hand.
Buzpung scores with a nice hook to the head.
Hopper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Buzpung looks to land a combination but Hopper avoids it well.
Buzpung thows a body kick. Hopper tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Buzpung forces Hopper back against the cage and clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Buzpung avoids a wild elbow strike from Hopper.
Hopper tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Buzpung smiles and moves away.
Buzpung closes the distance and clinches.
Hopper gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hopper throws a big right hand that misses.
Hopper could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hopper decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Buzpung, up you get!
Buzpung moves into range and clinches up with Hopper.
Hopper tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Hopper wants to get back to striking at distance but Buzpung won't allow it.
Hopper manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Buzpung decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Buzpung clinches up against the cage.
Buzpung has Hopper pressed against the cage, preventing Hopper from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Hopper misses with a hook to the ribs.
Buzpung scores with a knee to the head.
It looks like Moshe Hopper has been cut.
Hopper is trying to pull guard but Buzpung turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Buzpung throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hopper blocks it with crossed arms.
Hopper managing to block the knees to the body from Buzpung.
Hopper manages to pull guard.
Buzpung stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Hopper clinches.
Hopper is breathing heavily.
Buzpung blocks an elbow strike.
Buzpung misses with a hook to the ribs.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hopper tries to land knees in the clinch but Buzpung avoids the damage to the body.
Hopper jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Buzpung walks away with a smile on his face. Hopper gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Buzpung throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Buzpung scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Hopper is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Buzpung and Hopper are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Buzpung throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Hopper into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Buzpung knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Mikael Buzpung!
