Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randolph Warner (ranked 6166 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Noble (ranked 9409 p4p, 0 weight class). Nick Noble is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Randolph Warner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nick Noble!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warner is trying hard to land a takedown here. Noble sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Noble manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Warner on his heels. He'll look to pass Warner's guard now, I'm sure.
Noble controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Warner trying to keep a closed guard but Noble is proving a slippery customer.

Warner is looking for a triangle but Noble pushes his legs off easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Noble stays in close to Warner's body and controls the position.
Noble wanted to stand there but Warner had control of the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Warner has momentary wrist control but Noble slips an elbow through the middle.

Noble wants to stand but Warner is controlling his posture from full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Noble closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Warner to the mat! Warner manages to get full guard.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Noble has eaten all the pies!
Noble trying to stand up but can't free himself from Warner's guard.
Noble not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Warner tries to strike from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Noble controls from within his opponent's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Noble is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Noble shoots for a double leg takedown but Warner sprawls well. He's pushed Noble's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Warner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Noble wants to clinch but Warner slips to the side
and Warner counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Noble throws a wild body kick that Warner sees coming a mile off.
Warner lands a nice looking body shot.
Warner blocks a head kick by Noble.
Warner feinted with a counter takedown.
Warner tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Warner closes this distance looking for a takedown but Noble circles away.

Noble shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Warner has one foot on Noble's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Noble fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Warner sprawls well initially but Noble persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Warner has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Noble is on him like a limpet, forcing Warner back against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Warner misses with a knee strike.

Noble breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Randolph Warner will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!


Noble shoots for a takedown but Warner saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Noble forces Warner back against the cage and clinches.
Warner looking to stall.
Warner letting Noble take a breather here.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Noble obliges.
Warner misses with the head strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Noble works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Nick Noble has got the better of the ground game so far.
Noble with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Noble postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Warner has a closed guard, preventing Noble from standing up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Noble sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Warner's guard.
Noble is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Warner wants to improve his position but Noble is controlling well.
Noble controlling the action here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Noble connects with a nice short shot to Warner's temple.
Noble winds up and cracks Warner with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Noble seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Warner manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Noble closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Noble cracks Warner with a big right hand but Warner just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Warner tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Noble presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Noble lands a big shot there that rocks Warner but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Warner can't escape the position.

Noble is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Warner can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Noble scoring with strikes but Warner is staying in there.


Warner is rocked!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Warner reaches up to try and control the position but Noble seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Warner rolls and tries to escape and now Noble has his back!
Oh Warner is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
A helpless look comes across Warner 's face. He knows he's trapped as Noble lands a series of unanswered strikes. The ref steps in to stop the fight and this one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nick Noble!
