And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vladimir Oceanus!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oceanus tries to score a power double leg takedown but Peterson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Oceanus somewhat.
Oceanus shoots in looking for a takedown but Peterson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Oceanus's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Oceanus drives through with a takedown into guard.
Peterson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Oceanus trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Peterson wants to stand up but Oceanus is controlling him.

Oceanus drops back looking for a leg! Peterson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Peterson manages to kick Oceanus off! Oceanus jumps back into Peterson's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oceanus drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Oceanus jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Peterson is wriggling around but Oceanus manages to pass to half guard.
Peterson wants to get back to his feet.
Peterson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Oceanus on the ground.

Oceanus looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Peterson trying to control but Oceanus postures up.

Peterson is defending against the submission attempts here by Oceanus.

Oceanus maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Peterson could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Oceanus has cracked it and Peterson is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Oceanus!
