The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Adaev manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ferguson on his heels. He'll look to pass Ferguson's guard now, I'm sure.

Adaev is taking a breather. Ferguson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Adaev jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Ferguson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Ferguson and Adaev has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The referee asks Adaev politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Adaev prefers to stall for the moment though.

Adaev swings around for an armbar but Ferguson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Adaev's guard.

Adaev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ferguson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ferguson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Adaev scores with a couple of nice shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Adaev is looking to advance position but Ferguson won't allow it.
Adaev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ferguson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Adaev tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Adaev takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Adaev escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ferguson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Adaev scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Ferguson drops back looking for a leg! Adaev is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Adaev manages to kick Ferguson off! Ferguson jumps back into Adaev's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Adaev can do anything to dispel that myth.

I would just about give that final round to Amirkhan Adaev.
Well Adaev has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
