Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Billy Batts (ranked 3829 p4p, 436 weight class) and Jonatan Jonatan (ranked 6948 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Batts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonatan Jonatan!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Alyssa Summers and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Batts is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Jonatan has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Batts is trying to keep an underhook but Jonatan manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Batts is doing well to control the position and prevent Jonatan from advancing to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jonatan throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Batts is looking to control Jonatan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Batts avoid being mounted?
Batts is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Batts has his hands clasped together around Jonatan's back. He's all about the action.
Jonatan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Batts knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Batts trying to control here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Jonatan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Batts tries to clinch there but Jonatan circles away.
Batts stuffs the takedown.
Jonatan has a takedown stuffed.
Billy Batts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonatan Jonatan.
Batts misses with a takedown attempt - Jonatan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Batts tries to clinch but Jonatan is having none of it.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jonatan or perhaps it was just good defense by Batts, which made it look bad.
Jonatan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Batts changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jonatan tries to avoid it but Batts manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jonatan to the ground. Jonatan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Batts doesn't manage to clinch there - Jonatan circles away.
Batts dives in for a single leg takedown but Jonatan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Jonatan wants to counter with a clinch but Batts pushes him away.
Jonatan shoots in but Batts avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Batts wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Batts tries to clinch but Jonatan is having none of it.
Jonatan bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jonatan avoids a kick to the body.
Jonatan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Batts is looking for a counter combo.
Batts blocks a head kick by Jonatan.
Jonatan avoids the body shot from Batts.
Batts closes the distance but Jonatan moves to the side
and Jonatan counters with a right hand to the body.
A right-left combo lands from Jonatan.
Batts is rocked!
It looks like Billy Batts has been cut.
Batts fails with the takedown
and Jonatan rattles Batts with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Batts tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Jonatan dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Batts stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jonatan Jonatan!
