And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jido Shoemaker!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shoemaker throws a body punch but Schaafs moves out of range.
Shoemaker throws a chopping leg kick but Schaafs manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Schaafs lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Schaafs catches his opponent with a big hook that sends him to the canvas! Shoemaker stumbles back to his feet but will the referee allow it to continue? Shoemaker walks forwards and this one will be allowed to continue! Come on!

Schaafs cracks Shoemaker with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Shoemaker is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Shoemaker is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Shoemaker could not beat the count!
